Directions to the Temple
By freeway from downtown Phoenix:
Take Interstate 17 (Black Canyon Freeway) to Bethany Home Road turnoff.
Turn right onto Bethany Home Road. Drive east two miles to Central Avenue. Turn left on Central. The
temple, which is in a residential neighborhood, is on the right (east) side of Central Avenue.
By surface streets from downtown Phoenix:
Take Central Avenue north. Drive five miles from Van Buren Street to
Bethany Home Road and continue another eighth-mile north to the temple.
By surface streets from Scottsdale:
From Scottsdale Road drive west on Camelback Road eight and one-half miles
to Central Avenue. Turn right and drive north on Central Avenue about a mile to the temple.
By surface streets from Glendale:
From 51st Avenue drive east on Glendale Avenue five and one-half miles to
Central Avenue. Turn right on Central Avenue and drive south about a mile to the temple.
By freeway from airport:
Exit airport, following signs to Squaw Peak Expressway (No. 51). This
enters on Interstate Highway 10. Turn right on 51 about one mile from entry lane. Take 51 to Bethany
Home Road. Turn left to Central Avenue. Turn right and drive north about an eighth-mile to the
temple.
By freeway from northern Arizona:
Take Interstate 17 south to the Bethany Home Road turnoff and turn left
onto Bethany Home Road. Drive east on Bethany Home Road two miles to Central Avenue. Turn left on
Central Avenue and drive north to the temple.
By bus from downtown Phoenix:
