Christmas Social 2011

Our annual Christmas Social was held this year on December 18th. This event is held every year after our all-day Christmas meditation. It was a joy to gather with friends and family to celebrate the birth of Christ with divine fun and fellowship!
Halloween 2011

On October 29th we held our Halloween event at te Phoenix Temple. Some features of this year's Halloween included a visit by the Fairy Queen, a trip to the Astral World, a Frightening Haunted House and a talented Magician for the kids. A delicious light dinner was served. Much fun was had by all!
Easter 2011

We held our annual Easter Sunrise Service and breakfast this year on April 24th, 2011. We had a fantastic breakfast prepared by our own chefs! The Sunday School classes celebrated with a special outdoor Easter service and Easter egg hunt. A wonderful time was had on a beautiful Spring morning.
Phoenix Temple Annual Picnic
February 6th, 2011
The weather was beautiful for our annual temple picnic, held Sunday, February 6th, at Steele Indian School park in Phoenix. This year we were joined by a visiting monastic, Swami Suddhananda from YSS India. There were many fun activities for the kids and young adults, and delicious vegetarian hot dogs and hamburgers were served. A great time was had by all.

India Night at Phoenix Temple

On Saturday evening, October 9th, The Phoenix Temple hosted India Night, a unique festive event held every other year on the Phoenix Temple grounds. We had a fun-filled evening, learning much about the Punjab region of India. A delicious full-course Indian vegetarian meal was served, and a wonderful cultural program highlighted the many talents of the Phoenix Temple's Indian community. Thanks to all who worked hard to make this event an outstanding success!
Halloween Party

On Saturday evening, October 31st, the Phoenix Temple Sunday School and Teen Group hosted our bi-annual Halloween Social. A delicious potluck dinner was served. We had a visit from the Fairy Queen, a lively puppet show, and other events. Check out some of the fun costumes from the evening!
Easter Sunday

On Sunday, April 12th, the Phoenix Temple celebrated Easter with a Sunrise Service and a delicious breakfast. The Sunday School children participated in a variety of crafs and an Easter Egg hunt. A good time was had by all.
Phoenix Temple Picnic
February 15th, 2008
On Sunday, February 15th, the Phoenix Temple hosted our annual picnic immediately after the Sunday Service. There was much family fun and fellowship. We had a water balloon contest, sack races, ball games and other activities, fun for the entire family.
Christmas Social
December 21st, 2008
This year, our Christmas social was held on Sunday, December 21st, the day after our all-day Christmas meditation. Festivities included caroling with the Phoenix Temple Choir, Carols by the Sunday School group, and a delicious meal prepared by our own SRF chefs.
Paramahansa Yogananda established a tradition of setting aside a day to celebrate the birth of Christ with an 8 hour meditation. Our president, Sri Daya Mata said, "Make deep devotional meditation, rather than outer busyness, the predominant theme of the holiday activities. Take time to enter the holy stillness, to approach with loving humility the One who cherishes you always and can give you the unfailing strength and guidance you need."
Phoenix Temple 60th Anniversary
October 18th, 2008
On October 18th, 2008 we celebrated the 60th anniversary of SRF in Phoenix. The first Phoenix Temple was dedicated in 1948 by Paramahansa Yogananda. Special guest speaker was Leo Cocks, who recounted some of his experiences with Master.
Ice Cream Social
August 17th, 2008
On Sunday, August 17th, after the service we cooled off with some of Paramahansa Yogananda's special drinks such as Fresh Lime Tonic, Orange Almond Shake, Mango Lassi. We also enjoyed outstanding ice cream "Creations". This summer fellowship was sponsored by our Temple young adults as a special "Thank You" for your generous support of the Summer Youth Camp.
